I love the idea of summer as much as the next person, but let me just say that it is great to be back.
For those of you who don't know, I am now free of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black. It wasn't easy, but it was definitely worth it. Send any future mail to Sirius Not-So-Black, care of Mr. and Mrs. Potter, my new parents.
About half the summer was actually fun and relaxing - more than past summers, which were complete hell - but summer has nothing on Hogwarts. Delicious food at any hour of the day or night, Quidditch, fun with Snivellus, Hogsmede and Zonko's, parties, seeing
Remus everyone again: all of that clearly overshadows homework and Pringle.
How about the new prefects, huh? Obvious choices, if you ask me. I think they should break the stereotype next year, make me Head Boy. Think of all the good I could do for the school.
Here's to the new year - may it be filled with dungbombs and all-around good cheer. And now it's time for a trip to the kitchen.
